Individual Electives

In the third semester (winter semester) Individual Elective Modules (IEs) totaling 25 ECTS points have to be taken. At the faculty of Environment and natural Resources this corresponds to 5 modules.

This semester offers students the opportunity to pursue personal interests, to sharpen their individual profile or to undertake a semester abroad.

For the M.Sc. Environmental Sciences and M.Sc. Forest Sciences, a joint offer of compulsory elective modules is put together every year. In addition to participating in compulsory elective modules, up to 2 modules can be replaced by "Current Topics". Occasionally, Individual Elective Modules are also offered in the summer semester.

If interested, suitable modules from other master’s programs can also be taken and recognized by arrangement.

An overview of the offer, the elective modules offered in the winter semester and their module descriptions can be found here. The elective modules offered in the winter semester and their module descriptions can be found here.
