A current topic (CT)

  • offers you the possibility to write a scientific paper on a self-selected topic and thus to replace an elective module.
  • is agreed individually between students and professors. The student must take the initiative and contact a professor who might be eligible for supervising the topic.
  • is evaluated like a "normal" module with 5 ECTS points. The workload of a CT should correspond to a 3-week module, ie 5 x 30h = 150 hours of working time.
  • is a very flexible instrument. You decide when to write the CT. A CT can be written in every semester, even during the lecture-free period and you yourself decide when you want to register it and submit it.
  • has to be registered via formular before working on the CT at the examination office
